Cradle of Country Music — Logo Design

A longtime Knoxville icon reached out with a fun challenge: create a fresh logo for his Cradle of Country Music walking tour, podcast, and YouTube channel — nearly 30 years after he originally launched the tour. He wanted the new mark to feel rooted in East Tennessee’s musical heritage while subtly incorporating a small hidden element from his personal production company, RainShine Productions.

I designed a vibrant, sunburst-style logo featuring a warm mountain sunset silhouette with layered city skyline elements, paired with bold, musical typography. The final design successfully weaves in a clever nod to his existing RainShine umbrella/blue sun logo, creating a meaningful connection between his past and present projects.

The client was thrilled with the result and is now using it across his new audio and video platforms.

Tools: Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop

Deliverables: Primary logo design

Disclaimer: This was a paid freelance project. The final logo belongs to the client. All original design work (layout, composition, and custom modifications) was created by me. Fonts used are “Chonky” and “Futura PT Medium,” both free for commercial use. The mountain sunset illustration is from Vecteezy (attribution: link) and remains the property of its creator.
