Soulful Hair Studio — Full Rebrand
Soulful Hair Studio is a warm, vibrant hair salon in Knoxville, Tennessee. I was tasked with completely refreshing their brand to better reflect the studio’s energetic, feel-good personality and sunny, soulful vibe.
I designed a playful yet professional logo system featuring a custom sun icon and flowing script lockup, along with a bright retro-inspired color palette, typography, and full brand guidelines. The identity was then applied across a wide range of touchpoints including product packaging (shampoo, conditioner, hair mask), apparel, retail bags, signage, social media templates, and environmental mockups like window decals and a storefront facade. I explored multiple logo directions — from sunburst icons and rainbow elements to elegant script variations — before landing on the final versatile mark that works beautifully in both color and black/white.
The owner (who also happens to be my hairdresser!) absolutely loved the new direction. The rebrand captures the joyful, welcoming energy of the studio while giving it a fresh, modern, and memorable presence that stands out in the local beauty scene.
I also added two logo designs that were in consideration at the end!
